How do I submit a claim under the TurboTax 100% Accurate Calculation Guarantee or 100% Accurate, Expert Approved Guarantee?

If you pay a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) or Revenu Quebec (RQ) penalty or interest because of a TurboTax error, we'll pay you the penalty and interest.
Before you submit your claim, make sure that:
- You received an assessment or re-assessment notice from the CRA or RQ regarding a tax return that shows the penalties and/or interest you owe.
- Your contact information is current.
- CRA/RQ audit/review letters have been responded to with appropriate documentation and your tax return has been amended, either by yourself or with assistance from our Audit Defence team.
For the 100% Accurate Calculations Guarantee, make sure that:
- You double-checked your entries and you believe you entered them correctly.
- If you used a CD/download version of TurboTax, you registered your software and your program is up-to-date.
For the 100% Accurate, Expert Approved Guarantee, make sure that:
- You used TurboTax Live services.
Submit your case for review within 30 days of the date on your penalty assessment notice.
We only reimburse the penalties and interest on the first notice received.
If your claim is approved, we'll pay the penalties and interest incurred on the first notice you receive. You'll still be responsible for the tax you owe on the return.
If the CRA or RQ requests a response in your assessment notice or audit/review letter, respond as soon as possible.
Note: When processing your claim request, we might need a copy of your TurboTax data file.
