Are children ages 11 and 14 considered Students? or is this classification only for children attending "post-secondary"?

Hi there,

For tax purposes, the 'student' classification refers to a student with post secondary expenses, such as books or tuition or young kids that are enrolled in a qualifying institution. In most cases, there would be a T2202 document which would have been provided to you.

For more information, please refer to this article from the CRA website.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Kim
