Do I need to claim living out allowance?

I was paid $160 a day for meals and accommodations for working away from my home for 2 weeks at a time

You don't need to report your living out allowance if it is reasonable. While the CRA doesn't define what is reasonable, this National Joint Council of the Public Service of Canada page does give a good reference: https://www.njc-cnm.gc.ca/directive/d10/v238/s659/en
