The caregiver amount should automatically show up under the higher income person but it’s going under me and I want it to go under my spouse how can I fix this?
Ensure that the Caregiver Credit is applied under your spouse and you did not claim it in your own profile.
1) Left side of the screen - Under the "Setting Up" tab then down to “Personal tax profile for “Your Name”
2) Then go to “Claims for Dependents” in the “Deductions” tab and follow the screens, unchecking the boxes accordingly.
