Filed tax by mail

This is my first time filing tax in Canada. I'm from Toronto. What do I need to do after sending my filing thru Canada Post? How do I verify that they have received my tax filing? I just want to make sure that I filed successfully.

To verify if the CRA has receive your return, you can check using the CRA’s My Account, their MyCRA web app or you can call their automated number 1-800-959-1956. This CRA page has more details: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/individuals/topics/about-your-tax-return/refunds-status.html

 

Since this is your first time filing, if you don’t have a My Account login, you might be able to login using the online account you have with bank or credit union – these are Sign-In Partners.
