Filled T1135 by mistake

Hi there. I moved to Canada in 2020. I've been owing an apartment (cost between $100,000-$250,000) outside Canada since 2015 where my family lives to date. I didn't know that this property qualifies as for the personal use, and I shouldn't report it in the form T1135. However, I submitted form T1135 in my 2021, 2022, and 2023 tax returns by listing it as ''Other property outside Canada'' with zero income. How can I fix this mistake now and what are the consequences?

Please help and thank you

You should contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to see what, if anything, needs to be done.

If you are in Canada or the United States, you can call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281. If you are elsewhere, you can call 613-940-8495. This page has more ways to contact the CRA: Contact the Canada Revenue Agency
