Hello, The government is wanting info for 'other deductions' reported on my 2023 tax return, could anyone please explain to me exactly what that could be?? Thanks

Other deductions can be many things, such as: 

You can claim the following amounts on line 23200 of your 2023 return:

  • Canada Pension Plan or Quebec Pension Plan benefits
     
  • scholarships, bursaries or research grants
  • retiring allowances
  • repayment of a shareholder's loan
  • repayments made by you in the year for a policy loan under a life insurance policy
  • income from a registered disability savings plan

Here is the list from the CRA of what can be included in your "Other Expenses."
