How to avoid entering spouse's tax information when not filing jointly?
If you are married, you will need to provide your spouse’s information even if you are preparing your returns separately. The info is needed for a number of reasons, like eligibility for certain credits or deductions, handling property you own together, etc. This TurboTax FAQ has more information.
