I became a Permanent Resident and changed my SIN. I can't file taxes on my previous SIN. Which SIN do I use, new or old?

I was on a work permit in 2022. It was only in early 2023 that I became a permanent resident and changed my SIN. However, when I try to file my taxes with my previous SIN, it is not being accepted. What do I do? Do I file 2022 taxes with the new SIN?

Hi @rashi04

I hope you're having a great day.

You are correct, you would file your taxes using your new SIN provided to you.

Thanks!
