I changed my status to single and turbo tax is still asking me questions about my ex common law partner , how do I change this ?

If you carried forward your return from a prior year, unfortunately, TurboTax will still ask information about your ex common-law partner.  The best thing to do would be to start an entirely new return and report your marital status as single.
