I completed my 2016 tax return on March 3. Why have I not received my cheque in the mail yet?

My sister completed her 2016 tax return after me, and received her cheque almost instantly.

It can take as little as 8 business days for your income tax return to be processed when you NETFILE.  However, the Canada Revenue Agency requests that you wait at least 4 weeks before contacting them as it can sometimes take longer to process your income tax return.

If it has been at least 4 weeks, you may want to contact the Canada Revenue Agency at 1 800 959 8281 to check on the status of your income tax return.
