I separate in 2016. System wants me to answer this question "Was your spouse/partner's net income for 2016 zero?" - is this for my ex-spouse then?

Separatedhalfway through the year (more then 90 days) Report your status as of 31 December 2016 ( Separated) and report the change of status date where requested. You will be asked for former partners line 236 Net Income. If an accurate number can't be obtained, we recommend to estimate 25K When the other party files, CRA will update this number on their assessment
