I've been single since Jan2019, haven't entered info about my ex in my return, but get the error "marital status can't be single if you've entered info about your spouse"

If you have broken up with your spouse/common-law partner, you would have to enter "Divorced" or "Separated" as your marital status. You can’t go back to being “single” in the eyes of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

To make changes, select “Marital Status” from under “My Info” in the left side menu. Choose the correct options and click the “Continue” button to save your information.
