Am I required to enter my children's SIN number?

I am not able to locate my children's SIN number.  Am i able to leave this blank?

If you do not have the Social Insurance Numbers for your children, you can simply leave that field blank and proceed with your income tax return.

But will NOT adding their SIN affect the calculation of the CCB? Will it lengthen the process of calculating their benefits? Thank you in advance 🙂

When applying for your child benefit, the initial application ask for the child's birth certificate and therefore not adding the SIN for a child will not affect the CCB.
