Mom is 75 & lives with me has Alzheimers & physical issues. Been claiming the Caregiver Amount. Does check-marking "physical & mental infirm" give me additional credits?

The new Canada Caregiver Amount (which replaces the old Caregiver Amount) requires that the dependant be infirm, so you must answer yes to that to get the credit for an elderly dependant. You must only answer yes if the dependant has a T2201 Disability Tax Credit Certificate on file with the CRA or a signed statement from a medical doctor.
