My mom has been a widow for almost 10 years and I checked "widowed" for marital status but it's still asking for my dads information. How do I fix this?

Begin a new return and do not carry forward the information from last year.  That way there will be no carry forward of your dad's information.  You can click on tools, return manager and then create new return.  You can go back later and delete the first return.
