I started my tax return online and because I stated that I am married and have a dependent, it automatically wants to file my spouse and I together. How do I separate it?
Once you have chosen to prepare the returns together, the only way to prepare them separately is to start a new return. In the new return, ensure you answer "Myself" to the question Let's get started. Who are you preparing this return for?
