Tax Year Prior to 2020: 1040-ES for 2020

Anybody knows what's going on with the 2020 version of 1040-ES? The 2019 version was published on January 17, 2019, but here it is Feb. 6, 2020 and no 1040-ES. Of course it's almost impossible to talk to the IRS to find out what's going on. Perhaps someone out there knows.

The reply given by the Turbo Tax specialist is incorrect. The link takes you to the 2019 Form 1040-es for 2019. I t has been fruitless trying to talk to somebody at Turbo Tax. They respond with a voicemail telling me to go to turbotax.com/support.  I'll have to start my taxes over by using H&R Block. Turbo Tax has ripped me off $140.. as far as I'm concerned,

I went into the site you indicated would have 1040-ES vouchers for 2020 however, they were for 2019, and not for 2020 estimate tax payments.

When looking online, I found a PDF for the 1040-ES but it does currently say it's undergoing revision so the 2020 version is not yet available. Please see this note:

"Caution: The form, instruction, or publication you are looking for begins on the next page. But first see the important information below. This form, instruction, or publication is being revised to reflect legislation enacted December 20, 2019. The updated revision will be posted here as soon as possible. We apologize for the delay and inconvenience. The most recently issued final revision begins on the next page, but, again, is currently being updated."

Tax Year Prior to 2020: 1040-ES for 2020

Thanks BrandiLO for this information about where to get 1040-ES estimated tax vouchers for 2020.  I appreciate knowing that they're not actually available at this time.  I'll keep checking the site you provided so I can print them when available.

On another note.... I just efiled our Fed and State taxes yesterday but later realized we had not electronically signed or dated either of them.  I don't remember being told to do so before efiling, and we received an email saying both had been accepted.  Now I'm wondering if they will not be processed because of not having been signed.  Can you please tell me what we should do if this becomes an issue?

@nwood Please keep your posts in the user forum.  When you e-filed , you "signed" electronically.  The From 1040 will be blank in the signature section when you print out the return.  If you ever are asked to provide a "signed" copy for a lender, etc., use a pen and sign it where it says "Sign here."

Thanks for your information acknowledging our submitted  efiled returns are okay with out being esigned and dated.  That helps me to not loose any more sleep after realizing that hadn't been done!

On another issue, I'm not sure what you meant by keeping my post in "user forum".  Can you please explain how I can do it?

Okay....I think I got it.  Another question please:  I just noted 1040-ES information and estimated tax payment vouchers are now available through the IRS for 2020 payments.  But they reference for Trust and/or Estate tax issues.  We like to make quarterly estimated tax payments even though not required to do so.  We have made non-required quarterly estimated tax payments for the last several years.  Can we use the above mentioned vouchers for our 2020 quarterly estimated tax payments?

The individual 1040-ES for 2020 are still available with the IRS. You use this site to keep checking and see when they will be available. You should only use the 1040-ES that are for individual taxes so it does not cause a confusion with the IRS: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040es.pdf

Although the 2020 form is not yet finalized you can still make a payment directly on the IRS website.

OK ... SINCE THE FIRST ESTIMATE IS NOT DUE UNTIL 4/15/20 YOU HAVE LOTS OF TIME TO WAIT FOR THE FORMS TO BECOME AVAILABLE. Patience will be needed.  Otherwise you can pay online directly if you wish.
