Started my husband and my returns as joint filing now I want them to be individual returns to be filed separately. How rio I do that?

You need to start new returns and do not opt for joint preparation.
You still must identify each other and provide Net Income of the spouse.

In Canada there is no joint filing, everyone submits their own return.
