The CRA tries to send your notice of assessment and refund within 8 weeks, when you file a paper return. The CRA may take longer to process your return if the CRA selects it for a more detailed review.

If you are a non-resident, these returns can take up to 16 weeks to process.

Also remember that when you send something by postal mail, it will usually take at least a few days to reach its destination. The CRA can’t start looking at your return until they have it, and if they have to send you your refund by mail, then it will be at least a few days for it to reach you.

Did you get a NETFILE confirmation number when you filed your return? Or did you send your return by postal mail?
