How long does it take to get a response to a question? I sent my question on Saturday.

I was wondering whether or not low income tax returns can still be filed for free.  I am helping my mother-in-law with her taxes and signed in under the standard turbo tax product.  In the past, when it came time to pay, it told me it was free under the freedom option.  Not this time.

Now that I have started with Standard Edition, is there a way to switch to the Free edition and not have to re-enter all data?  If not, am I able to start over with the free edition and still transfer data from 2014, even though I have already transferred it into the Standard edition?

This is a forum for other filers and the tax season agents times are no longer scheduled on weekends. We are only here Monday to Friday.

In order to file for free you must go directly to the New Free Edition site to file.

Standard is not free. You can start off free and it will prompt you to pay when you are done with Standard,
