What does it take to see a difference on your tax owing? I have previous years amounts available up to $14k. I tested $0 entered and then $14k. Made no difference. Why?

How the refund amount is calculated depends on a lot of different things; how much you paid, how much you owe, your income, etc. While I don't know your tax situation, here is an article that can help you find the information to answer your question.
