When I try to add my kids birthdays for my dependents section on turbo tax it says the dates are invalid. What am I doing wrong or is it just a mistake?

Please make sure you are only typing it the birthdates in using numbers - no special characters or spaces. There should be 8 numbers and the format to use is DD/MM/YYYY. Ex: If your birthday is April 5 1954, then you would type: 05041954

You may want to select and delete everything in each box before retyping, just in case there is a hidden space causing the problem.

Hi Im also having a problem with this. Everytime I enter my child’s birthday it says “the date doesn’t look right. Please enter a valid date of birth.”  I don’t understand. I did what you said but its still the same.

Please enter them in the form of DDMMYYYY.

No special charachters.

Don't include any children who were born after the tax year.
