Where do i report residual prepaid funeral refunds ?

My late Dad's estate received a T5 residual interest refund from his prepaid funeral. Do i report the interest on his final T1 tax return ?  Or can my Mom, the beneficiary of his estate, claim it on her return?

I’m sorry to hear of your loss.

Normally you would put any income received after the deceased’s final T1 return on a T3 trust return. However, in some cases you may be able to put the amounts on the T1 return of a beneficiary.
