Who claims the Children's Special Allowance, the foster parent or the agency that provides monthly payments to the foster parent

Thank you for choosing TurboTax. As a foster parent, you can opt to have the agency affiliated with the foster child receive the payments. The agency can then pass the payments on to you. Alternatively, you can request to have the payments sent directly to you and can even opt to have them directly deposited into your bank account.
