I began my CRA autofill like I do every year... Mine linked successfully and I moved on to my husband's. He is out of town right now so could not sign in to his CRA to autofill this very moment. I tried to skip his autofill for now - which I've been able to in previous years and I was not able to click the skip button at all.. So I had to sign out of the session... When I signed back in the whole Autofill option completely disappeared and I have not been able to find it or get it back.. I've never encountered an issue like this before with TurboTax or the Autofill option before.. Quite confusing.
I didn't have any error code pop up when I went through my steps so I'm not sure what is happening.
Are you using TurboTax CD/Download or TurboTax Online?
I'm having the same issue, using Turbotax Online.
I'm logged into my CRA account but the option to import is not there on the "Securely Import your Tax Info" step. The big button is just not there.
@jmcisaac101 Please clear your browser cache (or use a different browser) and try again. If you are still not able to resolve this issue, please contact our phone support team at 1-888-829-8608 for more help.
I'm trying to do 2024 taxes and I'm having the same issue. Previous years I was able to import my slips via CRA, but this year the option is not shown and I have to do it manually. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
@hamedmotaghi Auto-Fill (AFR) for 2024 is not available from the CRA yet. It will be available on the same day as Netfile for 2024 on February 24, 2025.
I use the Download version and skipped CRA Auto-Fill, and now can't seem to reactivate it
@Peregrino17 The Auto Fill option is not available by CRA at this time as CRA has shut down their services for roll over. The Auto-fill my return service will be unavailable until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025 (Eastern Time) and will be available in TurboTax as well at that time.
I am using the Download version. I cannot find the Auto Fill option. Where can I find it, please?
If you are using TurboTax Desktop in EasyStep mode, then you can find Auto-Fill by selecting Income & Expenses > Import Tax Data from CRA from the left side menu. If you are in Forms mode, select File > Import Tax Data from CRA from the left side of the top menu.
This is still not working as of March 1. Above response said CRA would have this activated by Feb 24.
I just started filing today, so it cannot be a cache issue. I am using Chrome.
Is this still an issue and when is the expected date it would be resolved?
@jrmacafee If you're using TurboTax Online then it should be an item on your return's Tax Home page. Or you can search for it.
Still unable to import CRA data on both browser and android app. TT completely changed from last year where I would have to sign into CRA first and then it would populate all of my forms. No use trying to click on the 're-import' button because it does not fill out my forms. I've been a loyal TT user for years but will switch to another tax prep software if I am forced to manually input everything. Clearing cache does not work.

I'm having the same.e problem..I've cleared the cache dozens of times..maybe u should put something on the program warning about the issue..tried file and same problem
@burseymeg Are you not able to see the Auto-Fill option on the Tax Home page or in the search? Or is it that Auto-Fill is there, but it's not working somehow? Have you tried using a different web browser?
Isn't this a technical software issue for TurboTax given that so many people have problems with it and they've tried all the solutions recommended? By the way, this doesn't even work in the app on my phone and even when I clear the cache in the app. I wish the developers would just fix the problem instead of telling every person to call Tech support.
@srvtbd Have you tried logging in using a computer or from a different device? We have noted your feedback and will pass on the assigned department.
Yes. Different browsers, different devices. Even the android app will not autofill. From posts online, lots of potential customers are unable to autofill TurboTax. Although I've used TurboTax for many years I now strongly recommend others not use TurboTax given that like other people I've spent hours trying to get it to work and it's not being fixed. Spending millions on advertising everywhere instead of putting resources in making sure the software actually works was a poor choice.
@srvtbd CRA Autofill option was down by CRA this morning. It should be good now. Please give it a try and let us know. Thanks
