Can I claim a night guard (and subsequent dental adjustments to it and my teeth) that was prescribed for TMJ as a medical expense?

I live in Manitoba (Canada)

Yes - provided these medical/dental expenses were not reimbursed by your employer and are not considered cosmetic you can claim these expenses on your return.
