Can I claim medical expenses I paid for a biological child that is under 18 and doesn't live with me?

You can still claim any Medical Expenses you pay for your child who does not live with you. Be sure you keep receipts and if any of the medical expenses are being partially covered by different plans under both parents, make sure you have adequate proof of what was covered by each individual's plan.

CRA often requests proof on which parent actually paid the expenses in these cases, so the more documentation you have to back up your claim, the better.
