Hi there - when entering medical expenses, where it asks who was payment made to? Are we supposed to indicate type of practitioner (e.g. acupuncturist) or their name?

The type is fine. Dental, prescriptions etc. Don't get too granular.
CRA will ask to see details on receipts if they decide to check you.
