I am claiming about 1000.00 in child care expenses (daycare) but it is not changing my refund? Am I missing something?

Check the Detailed tax Summary (found on the Bottomline Tax Summary in the Review section) for an amount on line 214. If there is no entry showing, there are a number of reasons why this expense hasn't been applied.

Ok so I have a common law partner .

We have 2 children.

We want to claim our chilcare expenses for both children but it says we cant claim an elgible dependant because we are common law.  On turbo tax when we add both dependants the children ...is that something different than claiming a " elgible dependant from line 305
