If I purchased a new phone and used for Uber how can I claim it in my tax and where I put the deduction?

Yes, you can claim it as an expense, but if you used it for person things as well as business use, you can only claim the portion of your expense used for business. Ex: if you have 100 hours of call time, but you used only half of that for your Uber work, then you can only claim half the phone bill.

When you are doing the business/self-employment part of the interview, there will be section to put in Expenses, which has a space specifically to put in Telephone and utilities expenses.
