If you are Metis would you choose 'yes' to 'Are you as Canadian Indian as defined in the Indian Act?'

As per CRA- No, as a Metis you would not be a Canadian Indian as defined by the Indian Act. personal property of an Indian or a band situated on a reserve" is tax-exempt. Inuit and Métis people are not eligible for this exemption and generally do not live on reserves.
