Medical expense for foreign student and foreign worker

Hello,

I have some questions regarding the medical expense. I am not quite sure if below insurance premiums are eligible for it?

1. International student medical insurance in the university.

2. My wife's and my kid's Visitor to Canada insurances provided by Blue cross and Desjardins.

3. My parents'  Visitor to Canada insurances provided by Blue cross and paid by me.

Thanks.

You can claim medical expenses if you are filing a return because you have an income and are a resident of Canada not because you are an international student. In this case, you can claim your medical expenses including your insurance premiums and any medical expenses of family members who are Canadian residents only.

This link the CRA guide to claiming the medical expenses:

I hope this was helpful
