If you filed your tax return already, you could request a change to your tax return once you receive your Notice of Assessment. Do not file another return for that year. You can submit an adjustment request to the CRA in one of two ways: online or by mail. Online submissions are normally much faster than paper submissions.
If you just finished and did not file it, you could "edit" each credit or deduction on Schedule 1 to make adjustments. When using TurboTax Online: Go to Deductions > Medical Expenses Profile > continue to the Medical Expenses Summary, where you can Edit or Delete your expenses.
