Tradesperson Tool Deduction 2016

I'm currently trying to claim my tradesperson tool deduction. I live in BC, I spent $351.53 on tools for my job in 2016. Now when I enter this amount into the GST line under Tradesperson tools expense it does not change my refund at all. I include my income (~65,000) and enter 0.00 under amount repaid. What am I doing wrong or is the program not calculating this correctly?

The amount you paid for tools needs to exceed $1,161 before you are able to receive a deduction.  Please refer to this link:
