Turbotax is recommending I claim medical expenses under my wife due to the income amount. If the medical expense was for myself, I can still claim it under her?

Yes. Your wife can claim medical expenses that were for you. You can claim medical expenses that you, your spouse, or your common-law partner paid for any of the following people:

  • yourself;
  • your spouse or common-law partner;
  • your children or your spouse/common-law partner's children, age 18 and under, who depended on you for support; or
  • some dependants who are not your minor children.
