Line 232 - Other Deductions - includes income amounts repaid (such as OAS/EI amounts repaid directly to Service Canada), certain legal fees, and other deductible amounts.
TurboTax automatically transfers information from T slips including:
- Box 20 from your T4A(OAS) slips,
- Box 22 from your T4RIF slips,
- Box 28 from your T4RSP slips, and
- Box 18 from your T4A slips.
To review and confirm the source amounts of your other deductions that do not appear on a T slip,
- Select X in the upper-right corner to close the Help window.
- In the upper-right corner of your screen, select Find.
- In the Find window, type Other Deductions.
- Select Other Deductions from the list, and select Go.
