Are you trying to claim your car expenses because you use your car for work or you are self-employed? The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is very picky when it comes to car expenses. If they audit your return, they will ask for a logbook with your exact kilometres, as well as receipts (or other proof) of your exact expenses. So if you don’t have that, it’s best not to claim anything.
In future years, make sure to keep all your receipts and documentation, as well as a logbook. This CRA page has more info on what they want in a logbook: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/businesses/topics/sole-proprietorships-partnerships/business-expenses/motor-vehicle-expenses/motor-vehicle-records.html
