How do I fix NETFILE error code 2130?

SOLVEDby TurboTax7Updated December 19, 2023

NETFILE error code 2130 means there's a current year immigration date recorded with the CRA, but one was not entered on this return.

Choose your situation below to fix it.

  • When entering your personal and residency information at the start of your return, indicate that your Canadian residency changed, along with the date you entered Canada.
  • Enter your income from Canadian and foreign sources for the time that you weren't a resident of Canada. If your income was zero, indicate this on your return.

Indicate this at the start of your return when you enter your personal and residency information. If the residency information on your return is correct but you still get the error code, contact the CRA.
