Claiming moving expenses

I moved within BC for work, it was a transfer within the organization - same position, same department, new location - am I still eligible to claim moving expenses? My employer did not cover any moving expenses.

If yes - how would I calculate the eligible income in the new location? My income for the whole year is on the same T4, so aside from an approximate calculation based on pay stubs or even just averaging it out by month, what would be the best way to calculate this?

Thanks!

Is your new home at least 40 kilometres closer (by the shortest public route) to your new work location? If yes, then you can claim moving expenses.

Here is a great TurboTax FAQ to help you with the steps to claim your moving expenses: How do I claim moving expenses in TurboTax?
