CRA NETFILE: You are not eligible - why?

I click NETFILE CRA and get the following question:

Are you reporting a qualifying retroactive lump-sum payment on Form T1198?

I click No (I tried Yes one time too, on the off chance), and then get this:

CRA NETFILE has identified some errors.

[Name], you do not qualify to use CRA’s NETFILE service

But I do not meet any of the restrictions and I filed like this last year, with exactly the same content. Anyone have any ideas why?

As an aside, it filed my T1135 (foreign income) via NETFILE no problem.

Figured out root cause for my "ineligible to Netfile" issue. Go to the "My Info" section, "Contact Information", dropdown at the top related to the question "Is your mailing address outside Canada" was set to "Yes" (Note I had actually entered a Canadian address - this dropdown value was the problem). Change the answer to No and then you will be able to NetFile

I dunno if "Yes" is the default but this was my issue too. Thanks so much!

Thanks very much! What a silly error. It's too bad turbo tax didnt indicate this was the restriction for netfile.

Hi.  I’m getting not eligible for jet file because I have to do form T1198.  Nothing has changed for me.  How can I fix this?
