CRA Result Code: 604

Hi, I tried to refile my tax and I got this error message:

 

CRA Result Code: 604
The Canada Revenue Agency cannot process this ReFILE due to system constraints. Please see the list of exclusions on the ReFILE website. If you require assistance, please call your EFILE Helpdesk. ReFILE

 

Please advise what should I do next? I am afraid that my NETFILE account will be locaked.

TT600 errors, including TT600, TT601, TT602, TT603, AND TT604, are typically validation errors. This means you may have entered something into your return that TurboTax cannot understand or has not been programmed to accept.
 

The most common example is:

  • Quotation marks, ampersands and other special characters in any fields that accept text, such as your name, address, your dependant’s names, etc.

Unfortunately, the errors don’t provide much context as to where the error is. In all cases, technical support should be contacted if you encounter a TT600 error.

Fix error code TT604

The most common issue is:

  • Quotation marks, ampersands and other special characters in any fields that accept text, such as your name, address, your dependant’s names, etc.

Many times the postal code or telephone number needs to be deleted and reentered. After verifying all the entries in your profile, clear your cache/cookies, sign out of your return and restart your computer. If this doesn't clear the error please call our telephone support team by using our Contact Us link. When asked if you wish to receive an email say NO then say "speak to a representative" and hold the line.
