You need to enter your contributions before your deduction limit can be calculated. You’ll get a T4FHSA - First Home Savings Account Statement in the next few weeks which will have your total contributions, and once you enter the slip, TurboTax will adjust your deduction limit.
Where do I add my contributions? I can only see an area to add RRSP contributions. Does it go under that section?
As I mentioned before, FHSA contributions go on the T4FHSA. To get to the T4FHSA in TurboTax Online, use the “Find” tool (magnifying glass) to search for “T4F”. Select “T4FHSA - First Home Saving Account” from the list and then click the “Go” button.
This doesn't show up for me under the search bar... Is it because Wealthsimple (where I have my FHSA) hasn't uploaded the forms yet (end of February) and updated it with the CRA?
@jake_depo Are you using TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Online? Are you preparing a 2024 return?
Hi, this is happening to me as well. I’m not seeing T4FHSA when searching for it. I’m using Turbo Tax Online.
From Tax Home, in your return, click on tax profile // edit. In the tax profile pages (2nd page), select the proper items in the FHSA section and click Continue (see screenshot).
Still from Tax Home, click on Registered savings plans // edit. In your registered savings plans profile, select the proper item related to FHSA and click Continue (see screenshot).
Next page will be where you can enter the T4FHSA (see screenshot).
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
So until my account holder uploads to CRA I cannot do my taxes?
@435 Scenic Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until you receive all Tax slips and receipts. Accountholders and/or employers have until the end of February (the 28th) to send them to you. At this moment, NETFILE is not open yet and it will be on February 24, 2025.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
I am having the same issue, in year 2025, I opened my FHSA account in 2nd week of December 2024; while filling the tax - "FHSA deduction limit is showing $0 when it should be $8000." It does not let me 8000 and continues !!! Is this will be fixed or is there is trick to to do, can you share the info ? Thanks In Advance
I was able to fix the issue - Thanks

@amansabarwal Good to know that you were able to fix the issue.
I am having this problem (and it is March 9th).
My son opened his FHSA when he turned 19 last spring.
He contributed $8,000.
I have inputted the T4FHSA and it shows up on Turbotax.
But it is giving me a contribution limit of $0 when it should be $8,000.
And it is not transferring the $8,000 contribution to Schedule 15.
This is a TurboTax glitch as I have been spending hours re-doing everything and nothing works.
I can't even manually over-ride the number in Schedule 15.
Help!
I am having exactly the same problem.
How did you fix it?
The maximum contribution should be $8,000 but it says zero.
Help!
Thanks.
@Bob273 You need to enter your contributions before your deduction limit can be calculated. You should have T4FHSA - First Home Savings Account Statement which will have your total contributions, and once you enter the slip, TurboTax will adjust your deduction limit.
I did that. I entered the information from the T4FHSA slip first and Turbotax did not adjust the deduction limit. In fact, I did that about 10 times. And nothing.
I am having the same problem. It is showing FHSA deduction available for 2024: $0.00. On this exact same screen it says "This is based on the T4FHSA slips you entered. To add or edit amounts, go to T4FHSA Contributions" however when I click on the hyperlink T4FHSA Contributions it just reloads the same page stating my FHSA deduction available for 2024: $0.00. Is this a glitch in the system? Throughout the whole process it never asked me to enter my contributions first. It only asked if I opened my first FHSA account in 2024 which I clicked the box yes and then it took me to next screen about deductions which says my deductions available are $0. Is it maybe because I did auto autofill from CRA and there is no record on there for my FHSA, which makes sense since last year was first time I opened one. Is there a way to re-start the tax filing?
Figured it out. Had to go and change contributions first by clicking on the box of T4FHSA slip in the beginning when it asked which of the following do you have.
I checked that box right from the beginning and redid it a few times. Didn’t work. Glad it worked for you. I even had a TurboTax support person take over/view my computer as I went through the whole process and he couldn’t figure it out.

I have said repeatedly that I have done all that.
It doesn't work.
I have entered the contribution. I have a T4FHSA. I entered the slip and it still shows $0 contribution room.
FHSA showing $0 is a known issue; our teams are working hard at getting this fixed. We will update as soon as this has been fixed.
Thank you for your patience and for choosing TurboTax.
Thanks Brenda. Yeah, I tried using a completely different computer today and even manually inputted all of the data (not relying on CRA) and same thing still happens. I am doing everything right, but this is a technical/coding problem.
Any idea when it is going to be fixed - like in one day or one month?
Thanks.
@Bob273 We do not have any ETA on this. We are aware of this issue and our development team is working for a resolution. We appreciate your patience.
