honorarium from helping at local school

im a full time stay at home parent with no income besides what my partner makes, i  help out at a local school as a council member. i received a honorarium for a total of 800 dollars. Not sure where to claim this money on my taxes. ive read to either claim it as a other expense but not sure where to claim that and i also read to claim it a self employed person for which i would need to make a self employed account and it seems very unnecesary, any help would go a long way

If you received a tax slip for this income, then you would enter the tax slip. The box on the slip would determine whether or not you need to fill in the self employment section.

If you don't have a slip, you can report it as “Other Employment Income”.
