How do we do my hudsbands taxes if he’s getting paid as a contractor?

He was hired to work for a company but because he was only working for the winter he was getting paid as a contractor. I’m not sure how to di his taxes correctly? Do I need to make a buisness for him even if he’s working for a buisness already?

You will file his taxes, he being self-employed. If you're a sole proprietor or self-employed, you must fill out your T1 General, which is your standard personal income tax return. You must also complete a separate T2125 “Statement of Business or Professional Activities.” This is where you specify: Business and professional income earned.
