I get an error saying CRA won't accept my return due to connection issues. I tried multiple times for two returns; one I got a conf email (TurboTax said it wasn't filed)

I just tried to file two; neither would work and getting the message: " We couldn't find an internet connection or the existing connection either timed out, disconnected, or experienced an error. Check your internet connection and try again."

I just had same problem.  Also tried manual NETFILE, and it also did not work.

Yes! I also tried both ways. Does this affect the number of Netfile returns we have if it is a system error?

Same here. Tried with 3 different returns with the same error.  Also tried manual NETFILE and that did not go thru.  Is it a NETFILE or Turbo Tax issue????

same problem here, also tried disable anti-virus and firewall, they have to fix this and should not count the number as it's defect from them

I`m having the same problem! I tried to file through TurboTax and manually through Netfile, same internet connection message. Any tips?

same problem :( i check CRA for netfile maintenance / the service being down, but didnt see anything posted. I attempted 2 times and received the error messages, on the third attempt the tax return went through and I received the confirmation. So I thought great its working now. When I went to netfile the second tax return, the error message popped up again. I then decided to try the manual netfile alternative and still got the error message there.

From the manual netfile I got:
"We're sorry, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) was unable to accept your NETFILE tax return. Response Type: PENDING. You have two options: Try submitting again.
Note: You only have 5 attempts to NETFILE your return before the CRA will lock you out.
Close this internet browser window and recheck your tax return. "
From the automatic netfile.
"Error: "Your transmission did not go through. Your internet connection may have been disconnected at the time of transmission"

I really hope these don't count? I'm scared to try a fifth time - I've never been locked out by CRA, so no idea what that would entail to resolve.. whether its with TurboTax or with the CRA. Yikes.

Same problem on my end with both of the returns I have tried to file. I only have one attempt left with my husbands so I am not going to file until I am VERY sure the system is working!

Hey everyone, looks like it's a netfile issue with CRA. I saw a turbo tax specialist updated on another thread, there are also updates on turbo taxs Facebook page.. it isnt clear regarding the 5 netfile attempts what exactly occurs after. Turbo Tax posted we have to likely get in touch with CRA to be unblocked if we reached our limit.

Does TurboTax monitor these discussions? I see the same issue since last October but no solutions. How do you get this resolved?

There is no issue with transmitting your return through NetFile. If you are having issues please make sure that you are eligible to NetFile your return. If the issue persists please contact our Customer Service for assistance.

This turbo tax issue transmission problem is a turbo tax problem they are unwilling to fix basted on the number of complaints.

Today May 5, 2020 i had the same problem.

I filed my tax and got a receipt.

A couple of minutes later i tried filing my wife's return and was rejected.

No connection blah blah.

Called CRA. They have no record of any netfile activity even though i tried several times.

My internet connect is fine.

I restarted my PC and tried again.

No luck.

I've been using TT for a long time but have never had this problem but if they don't fix it soon this will be my last year using TT.

There are times when WIFI's signal is not very strong and this can be the cause.

Try connecting by "hardwire" and it will help.

Please contact our customer service for assistance if problem persists.

This just happened to me went through all the steps and then it just did the loop and did not send I had to d/load it to the desktop and thats it all info was in there. the reason I did not pay the amount this year is the fact that I was stuck paying well over 1800.00 when I paid for the experts do it for me and nothing to fall back on and no answers to my letter I had sent them so I was out the money for the paid expert monies I paid and ignored after this ( NOT GOOD TURBOTAX)

@1EagleDave  The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)’s NETFILE Service is closed for maintenance, so you won’t be able to file your return online until February 20, 2023. Printing your return is also not available until then.
