I understand that I need to snail-mail to CRA to file a 45(2) election. How/where do I indicate on Turbotax T1 that I file an election? Is there any boxes to check?

Just wondering if there's anything on the T1 that I should check off or add before submitting online, to let CRA know that I'm sending a separate letter by mail for a 45(2) election.

No, you can attach it to your tax return or send it separately if you are NetFiling your return.

Here is a great TurboTax article that may help: Capital Gains on Primary Residence & Principal Residence Exemption

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
