Separated and it's asking both for the info off 2020 return for each other.

We can't file because we separated in 2020, and it comes to a page where it asks for a bunch of information from the others 2020 return. But of course we both can't move forward because that's the year we're trying to file. Can not submit, both hung up in the same spot.

What do we do to proceed?

If you separated or divorced in 2020, the CRA will still require your spouse’s information.

If you separated or divorced before 2020 you say "No" to the question "Did you separate from your spouse/partner in 2020?".

To make changes, select “Marital Status” from under “Setting Up”. Choose the correct options and click the “Continue” button to save your information.

If you can’t see “Setting Up” in the left side menu, use the “Back” button at the bottom of the page to go backwards through the interview until you get to the “What's your marital status?” page.

I’m separated or divorced.

What if I don't know my spouse's income?
