Submitted return but received message it won't be filed yet due to the cra reviewing capital gains

I didn't save the message I received when I filed my return, and it's not noted anywhere in my file and wasn't emailed to me.  I filed my return and received a message that the CRA is reviewing capital gains so my return won't be filed until later in March.  Does anyone know what this means?  I went to the CRA website and I don't see anything noted about this.

Found this message in my return...The CRA needs more time to certify the capital gains forms due to the delay of the rate increase. We expect they’ll be ready to accept your return by late March. So that answers my question.

Last year for Turbo Tax for me. Been using it for over a decade and it seems nothing but issues the last few years. They blame it on the government but if you don't use or need any of the forms in question there is no reason not to be still able to file. Just lazy programming.

" Your Return is Done, But filing for returns with Capital Gains or Losses is Temporarily delayed

The CRA needs more time to Certify capital gains forms due to delay of Rate increase. We expect to be ready to accept in Late march. "

I cant find anything related to this on the CRA. So again what is Turbo tax doing here? I think this might be my last year using this software after 10+ years.

I couldn't find anything on the CRA website either, but here's a quote from bnnbloomberg that does seem to put the blame on CRA.  Google also shows that users of other tax software have the same complaint.

[quote begins here.]

The Canada Revenue Agency previously warned the system updates required to process capital gains “may not be completed” by the time online filing opened on Feb. 24, but there have been no updates since.

Drouin [from CRA] told CTV News the CRA is currently targeting mid-March, but that it could take longer.

“We’re pretty confident it will be fixed within a week or two,” he said. “But to be safe, I tell people to wait until the end of March. Don’t rush.”

For taxpayers impacted by the delay, the CRA has promised relief from late-filing penalties and interest until June 2 for individual filers and May 1 for trust filers.

[ I'd play it safe and not trust the promise of June 2 until I see it on the CRA website]

The government takes enough of our money which is the annoying part. Now they are keeping it further for those of us that are owed returns. To wait until June is completely a joke.

"Your return is done, but filing for returns with capital gains or losses is temporarily delayed"

This is getting critical for me, I was counting on return to pay my mortgage, I know its my problem sorry but it is very important for me now. Is there any ETA for this please, or I should move to other software. I have only two weeks now.

We are working to get all forms unlocked as soon as possible, but we don't have a date for when this will happen. We thank you for your patience.

Please note, while the filing deadline is still April 30 for most people, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is granting interest and penalties relief until June 2, 2025 for taxpayers reporting capital gains.

Here's some links regarding the delay:

If you are using TurboTax Desktop and don’t need any of the locked forms, please try clearing the unneeded forms and then closing unused forms. You can find those options under Edit>Forms in the top menu.

My return has been completed and paid for.  I'm told by others that CRA is now accepting capital gains returns.  Why can I still not complete the filing?

If you are still having issues filing after the most recent TT update and have NO capital gains or investment interest (i.e.  some T5 info), etc to report:

My advice is before filing online to go to Edit>Forms>T567>Clear Current Form and then Close Unused Forms....and then do the same for Schedule 3.....Then try filing.

I was able to Netfile my taxes this morning March 19.
