"This file is not a Turbotax file. Error code: TT404".

I bought Turbotax Primeir download from Costco. I installed the software and transfer 2016 file to 2017 than save it. I am getting error when I tried to open the new 2017 file. It says "This file is not a Turbotax file. Error code: TT404".

The error code is most common when importing from a password protected TurboTax file. If your 2016 TurboTax file has been password protected, close the 2017 version, remove the protection from the 2016 version, and then try transferring again. Once you have successfully imported, you can enable password protection again on the 2016 version if you wish. I've never set a password on a file and I am getting this error. Any other ideas?????????
